Artist Spotlight on Actress Talece Brown

1)  WHAT IS YOUR STORY?
My first time in NYC was upon graduation of High School. My Father asked me what I wanted as a present before starting college and I said I want to see NY and every show on Broadway.  Wish Granted. For 15 days, I was a blur of a 5’5” Blonde scurrying from matinees to evening performances and squeezing in museums and everything else I could think of in between. I may not remember every place I was but I remember every performance I saw. I even had a cab driver from my home town who was in NY studying to be an actor. NYC is a microcosm of humanity. For an Actor, a living, breathing resource. It was magical and profoundly shaped my choices in work. Since then, I have been to NYC numerous times but always for work and as an actor am perpetually drawn to NY born and bred acting coaches. They have shaped and guided me from Adam Roarke to Roy London and the latest truly gifted teacher I have met, Tom Todoroff. I cannot imagine my career without my Teachers and Mentors. In so many ways, they have given it to me.
2) WHAT ARE THREE TRUTHS ON THE ACTING INDUSTRY?
1) WORK. Work begets work. A true Actor lives, eats, breathes, sleeps, craves, aches, yearns, searches for and constantly works. The Work is everywhere for an Actor. We never stop working whether we are booked or not.  2)  LEARN TO LOVE THE PROCESS. Every discipline has its own rhythm and parameters. Some disciplines are a better fit than others. Some are perfect for stretching you to grow. All are or should be a constant Present Time challenge to keep it real and stay in the moment, bringing your unique set of skills and talent to the “Work”.  Once you learn to love the process, you will find absolute joy and humor in each discipline and challenge. It will no longer be a frustration and you will WORK MORE!!!  3) THE ANSWERS ARE ALL AROUND YOU. IT IS THE QUESTIONS THAT ARE INTERESTING. What we do is about LIFE. How we do it is about LOVE. The one constant is CHANGE.
Through it all, CHOICE. It is those choices that show us answers and lead to more questions.
3)  HOW IS ART YOUR RELIGION?
I always knew what I was born to do. What my gift and talents are. It is impossible to be anything else and every choice is guided by that identity. No matter the work, no matter the project, set, location, material, discipline, that source of me finds a way to respond.
4) WHAT IS YOUR MESSAGE?
